What can I do  ??? I have tried every avenue that I can think of to get a start on the lane family. The only details I have are the names of Cyril Albert Charles lane who was born in The New forest 1917 and died Southampton 1971., his father was Albert Lane ( I think ). That is as far as I can get on that side. I have tried everything I know (Not a lot.. :-\ )to find the father or mother if Albert. Can anyone please help me onto the right track!! Forever hopeful  ::) you would think with a name like Cyril's it would be easy!!

cert would give father's occupation and mother's name

A Cyril A C LANE was born Mar Qtr 1918 New Forest Hampshire Vol 2b Page 1036, mmn GOULD.

Applying for this certificate will give you more details on his parents.
