Regarding James' will:

 - from the sound of this, Elizabeth Ann was not the daughter of Alice.  It also confirms the marriage of James and Alice as being circa 1871.

There's also a 1875 land dispute regarding "Mrs Alice Morris" which mentions her former husband, Mr Lambert, and a 1895 marriage of Mary E. Lambert, youngest daughter of Mrs Alice Morris of Weardale.


ETA: will of Jane E. Morris is online, and lists sister Emily Jane Connell and several of Emily's children, as well as her married niece, Minnie Isabel Gemperle.  Tracking Minnie might help work out where Elizabeth Ann ended up.

Hard to read but from what I can make out.
Married 19-11-1881 at Chalmers Church East Melbourne
Elizabeth Ann Morris age 28 years born Fitzroy, Victoria
She is a spinster and lives at East Richmond
Father is James Morris  Mother is Jane Elizabeth Jones

George was a widower aged 50 years with 3 children living
born London and living at Emerald Hill

No closer to finding a birth registered though 

Only thing close is
MORRIS Elizabeth b 1854 to James Morris and Jane Seal in Prahran 

Could "Seal" be read instead of "Jones" ?  (okay..clutching at straws!)
Can't see any other births for this couple in Victoria.

He was buried at ST Kilda Cemetery and here is the MI.

Maria Anna wife of George Thompson died at Emerald Hill 9/3/1880 aged 50.
Also his second son Frank Joseph  Thompson  23/7/1886 Aged 33
Also William Sefton Thompson youngest son of the above. 14/9/1886 8 yrs 11 month (error here!)
Also G Y Thompson 20/3/1891

I've just downloaded this death certificate to ascertain Elizabeth Ann's age.
On 1 Oct 1867, Elizabeth Ann was 14.  Poor Jane died of cancer of the rectum.  Wrex is Wrexham, North Wales.

and where is the son William?  He is not mentioned in the will

William Charles Morris is the informant on the certificate so we now know he was still around in 1867.

I'm after his age at time of death, and parents if listed.

James Morris d. 19 May 1905, Moorooduc.

I've found articles in the Argus about this fellow and they state he was in his 90th year, but Moorooduc is where my Morris' lived.

I'd just like to exclude him.  My James Thomas Morris (eldest son of James and Jane) would have been in his 70th year and I haven't been able to track him down.
