I have a photo of my 2x G Grandmother Catherine born 1820 taken as a young women in Kilkenny--which didn't mean anything to me--sorry have not got my head around the locations in Ireland. This was only found last month but as we have  A photo of her taken in 1896 in England--we knew it was the same person.

Do you have the name of the photographer in Kilkenny - might help with dates etc.

Thank you--hadnt thought of that. The Studio marked KilKenny,Belfast and Wexford( in that order) is for Aug.Nielsen.
We have another 2 photos  which also bear a resemblance but I am not 100% if it is Catherine taken by R Forbes 34 Grafton Street Dublin and one by C Neville Cook,Kingstown .

Thanks

Hello, my great grandfather was a Rochford from Mullinahone. I have researched his line and have visited the village. I met with some friendly Rochfords still living there. I am in Maryland, USA.

I wonder if your Catherine Rochford was Catherine Maher before marriage or was she born a Rochford? If she was Maher then I'm a direct descendent. C. mayer-c. cleary-james rochford-lillian rochford-my father-me

Sorry don't know the answer but suspect she was born a Rochford.

I'm currently researching this photographic studio and would be interested in seeing the picture if at all possible.
