Broken Hill, Northern Rhodesia
« on: Monday 16 April 12 13:29 BST (UK) »
In the early to mid 1900's, several of my ancestors moved from South Africa to the Copper Belt in Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia).  I'm sure they are all buried in or near Broken Hill.  How do I get death certificates and could anyone visit the cemetary to take photos of tombstones with the names Povall and Williams on.  I think they were farmers so presume they could be buried on their farms.   How does one get info from the Zambian Government?

Hello there. I was wondering if you got any information on getting death notices, etc from Zambia. A friend of mine is trying to find out more info from her mother who died in Broken Hill in 1958.
Hope to hear from you.
Kind regards
Helen Knothe

Hi Helen
Sorry I'm only responding now.  No I have not been able to get death notices from Zambia. Maybe we should email the Zambia government Home Affairs department.
