221 squadron malta 1943

Hi folks would anyone know or have information on how i would get detaits on a relative of mine that served in the royal air force volunteer reserve squadron 221 in malta 1943.  His name was Robert Dowds from Belfast his service number was 978632 and he was a leading aircarftman and he died on the 15th august 1943 and is buired in malta. He was 22yrs old.
