Can anyone identify the dates of these pictures?

Okay, this one will be mid-late 1870s.

The ones in the links are also cropped...we'd like to see the outer edges if you can get a rescan from the owner of the photos.

Thanks! is this based on the clothing, hairstyles or the way the picture is composed? It's certainly interesting to know, they must've been reasonably well off to have pictures taken at this time!

I will try and contact the person who sent me the photos, although I'm not sure that there's anything more to them than this...

Photos were reasonably priced and affordable by just about anybody.

Photos may be dated according to clothing and hairstyle and pose, but some photos don't show much clothing and some hairstyles were sort of universal. Edges of the photo and also the design on the back may fill in the blanks in many cases, especially around the mid-1870s.
