Valuation rolls for Strachan
« on: Wednesday 18 April 12 14:17 BST (UK) »
I don't suppose anyone has copies of valuation rolls for Strachan between 1868 and 1881 only trying to establish exactly where my Reid family lived.  In most documents it is stated Kirkton, Strachan and in another document Bowbutts, but then crossed out and put Kirkton.

Hi ,

On the 1851 Census on freeCEN -
If you select Strachan then put in the address as Bowbutts then search
Select one from the list , then use the next/previous buttons to see other addresses nearby
You should find Kirk Town or Kirktown nearby

Can't see anything on the map but I think it is/was in the main part of Strachan , the School House ,
Manse , and Free Manse would seem to be nearby
