Hi Derek

I agree with Heywood, that you will probably get more info from Margaret and Williams MC  and you know that this definitely your Margaret, there should be her fathers name and occupation, also the witnesses may be members of the family so more clues there.

For the marriage cert for Michael and Jane, you usually send for these to confirm the maiden name for one of there children, and you already have that, but again there will be her fathers name unless he his deceased and this may not be given, and Michael's occupation, also again there will be witnesses so more clues there.

The other marriage certificate I think is important in this, is the one for Mary Murphy this will confirm if she is Margaret's sister.

Good morning all

Yes Derek, if you can get the marriage cert for Margaret and William today, this will then confirm if we are on the right track, if we are then send for the other certs, also while you are there, see if you can find the baptist record for Margaret Murphy born July Qtr 1863 Stockton, I think this may be your Margaret, in fact I would take all your research so far and see what they have got

Marg

Good luck
