William Edmund Turgoose
« on: Tuesday 24 April 12 07:53 BST (UK) »
My father had a letter from one of these heir-hunters regarding the above who died in 2006.  They were tracing forward from a Mary Watt Maxwell through my grandma Margaret Turgoose and so on to my father.

I did a BMD lookup and found one William E Turgoose with mothers maiden name given as Turgoose.

But no one in the family recognises these details.

Strangely he was also buried at Beeston which is where most of the family came from.

I presume Margaret Parents were William Birkett TURGOOSE and Mary Watt MAXWELL?
Then they had a Daughter WINNIE born c 1906 who would have been old enough by 1927 to have been his Mother.
She is Winnie on the Census we are not allowed to mention, but seems to be Reg as Isabella Winfred March 1906, Basford.

Trish :)

I found 4 possible births of children to William Turgoose and Mary Maxwell .
Isabella Winnifred as stated earlier
Hector 1911
Margaret 1914
Robert 1915
so if these are connected any son of Winnies would be Margarets nephew and your fathers cousin.
