Hello my favourite retouchers,

would you be so kind as to remove the car, the traffic man and cones from behind Sami pease.

I don't mind if the entire background is patterned like the foreground road surface - it makes an interesting texture. (Perhaps we could lose the white parking lines too).

FYI Sami is a Ranger in GirlGuiding NZ and was laying the ANZAC wreath at our service yesterday. This will make a beautiul photo for her mother who is also one of my Guiding Leaders.

While it is a beautiful photo of Sandi (I used to be a Ranger myself

) our guidelines do state that you must have permission from the subject or their parents/guardians if you want to post photos of living people on RootsChat:

Increasing numbers of recent photographs of living persons are being posted for restoration or manipulation. If you post such a photograph you must have permission to do so from the subject/s or their parent/s/guardian/s.
In general, RootsChat would ask that photographs of living persons were not posted on the site.

Of course if you have permission to post there is no problem.

I would remind all restorers to abide by the guidelines about photos of living people, please!

Just to confirm, I do indeed have Sami and her mother's permission to post here, although Mum does not know that I intend the finished product as a gift for her. She simply thinks it is for the Ranger scrapbook.

Your people have done such wonderful work for me in the past with my ancient fossils. I even downloaded a photo editor program myself yesterday with the intention of doing it myself however couldn't even get the background removed from the main subject. Figured I'd just leave it to the experts.
