Hello there,
My mother knows very little about her fathers family line.  She thought they came over from Germany 2 or 3 generations passed but that is not the story I have uncovered from the records found.
Over the last few generations the family seen to have moved between Kings Norton, Birmingham & Glamorgan, Wales.

- Francis Gerald LOWDER (1902-1975)
- Frank Gottwaltz LOWDER (1862?-1934)
- Samuel Molyneaux LOWDER (1825-1898)

I was wondering what information you have on this name & is there a German connection?
