COMPLETED THANKS - Thomas Cruddace, can you find him please?
« on: Thursday 26 April 12 23:10 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

The NBI 3 shows a burial in Sedgefield, Sept 1887, of Thomas Cruddace age 76, and the GRO Index confirms name and age. However, I can't seem to find a likely candidate in any census index search.

Can anyone find him?

Thanks,
Colin

Thanks very much for checking, Isobelruss, and I'm sorry that I haven't replied before now.

I have done quite extensive research into the Croudace families and am reasonably confident that this Thomas isn't one of them. I am curious about him because my direct line were living just a few miles away in Bishopton village, and wondered whether there might have been a connection.

Regards,
Colin

I think I might have now found him in 1881 at the County Asylum indexed by his initials and born c1816 at Ferryhill.

Further checking is needed, but not tonight  ;D
