Can anyone tell me what this badge would have been given for please? ARP? Observer Corps maybe?

Its a Silver War Badge given to soldiers who were discharged to pension for wounds or sickness
Is there a number on the back? If so may be able to give you a name

Thought you might like to know he served for 3 years in Mesopotamia and Persia with the East Lancs before he transferred to RASC, Ady. Got heatstroke, sandfly fever and typhus.
He was from Accrington, so at least I have a lead.
