WW2 British Army Records Glasgow
« on: Monday 30 April 12 03:51 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I am a complete novice with these records. ::) ::)  I understand that I have to make written application to an agency in Glasgow, Scotland (I am in Australia).  The form also asks for permission from next of kin.  As the next of kin was his wife who is also long dead, will his daughter's permission be acceptable.  The serviceman in question died in 1959 after discharge.

Can anyone tell me if the agency in Glasgow has an email address to help speed things up.

Thanking you,

Andcarred

Hi

The daughter would be considered as Next of Kin if both the service person and spouse are deceased

The link below has information about applying for copies of service records and forms required. Also information about documentation required.

I believe it can take many months (up to 12) to receive documents
