Looking at this example of census returns, reminds me of a PR from 1610 I read which stated 'I baptised another base childe for Hannah H------------ a notorios  whore', father of the said childe believed to be Jacob--------- a rake and drunkard, Hannah H ---------- has three children, all bastards.'

Blimey I thought, I wouldnt want to be on the the wrong side of this Rev.
