Help please cannot open any attachments

Hi all can anyone help please suddenly over the last week I cannot open any attachments in my BT Yahoo mail account where a week ago I could open the same attachments the message waiting for prod1.rest.msg.yahoo.com is displayed then disappears.    I sent 1 of the emails with an attachment to my hotmail account which opened ok.  I suspect it is the BT account have tried BT help and searching the internet, but no nearer an answer.

Have windows7, tried Google Chrome and Internet Explorer access to log on to emails on BT account, but no difference.

I have a update I have now found that in my email address account (the main account) attachments open ok, it's the sub account (the wife's) BT yahoo email that they will not open
