WW2 Information
« on: Tuesday 01 May 12 21:23 BST (UK) »
Hi, I am new to all of this and do not know where to begin.

My GF died before I was born, and not much information was shared of his war years with my dad, but I would like to try and dig a bit deeper and find out what he was involved in during this time.

All I know is Mr William J Wright in the Kings Regiment / Oxford Bucks.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Jon

Hi Jon

Welcome to Rootschat!  I don't have any military expertise I'm afraid but have you seen this page?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxfordshire_and_Buckinghamshire_Light_Infantry

It might help as a starting point.  :)

Welcome to RootsChat!

Post what you know on www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/board,398.0.html

There are some very knowledge people on the Armed Forces board who will be able to help.  If you have any photos of your GF in uniform, post those as well.
