RAF Service number look up?

Heya

Can anyone who has the resources see if they could look up a service / soldier number for my grandfather, Clynton Dennis Prosser? Born Newport 1914.

There are no public lists for WW2 service personnel. If he had been commissioned (or received a gallantry medal) then his number would have appeared in the London Gazette (which he doesn't), or if he had died then on the CWGC.

You will need to get his service record. A service number is not essential when applying for records (though it helps and speeds up the process a bit).

I'm looking to get his service record this month but like u saidn I know having the number speeds things up (I'm quite impatient!!)

There are lists of service numbers from 1918 to 1975 at The National Archives.
