David Williamson m Dinah Palmer, Ontario

Browsing once again for David Williamson, born Dumfries and Galloway c1843, on Family Search I found a David Williamson m Dinah Palmer c1873 with his parents listed as John Williamson and Jane Williamson. The marriage took place in Ontario Canada. How can I confirm that this is the David Williamson who was the son of my gtx2 grandparents with these names or otherwise?

If anyone can throw some light on this gentleman I'd be very pleased. There may be a brother John Williamson around nearby too.

It's another "shot in the dark" but who knows?

The David Williamson who married Dinah Palmer 18 Nov 1873 at York County was shown as born in Canada on the marriage registration.

His death June 16, 1930 shows his birth as 1849 at Niagara on the Lake and his parents as John Williamson and Jane Courtney - both born Niagara on the Lake. 

Both the marriage registration and the death registration give his occupation as painter.
