Hi All

Can anyone help confirm the details for a marriage between Mary Rayson and William Bates belived to be Jan 1872 in Preston Capes

I am particularly interested in the parents and witnesses for the marriage

The parents, according to the 1861 Census,  of Mary Rayson were John born 1816 in Carlton and Mary born 1815  at Brampton  Huntingdonshire.

I am afraid you will have to send for the marriage certificate if you want the names of witnesses.

N.R.O. only has upto 1837.

Your William BATES appears in the Preston Capes village website genealogy database (www.prestoncapes.org.uk/history/genealogy/).  It would seem that the family moved away from the village after a year or so.
