Rev F S Webster.
« on: Monday 14 May 12 10:41 BST (UK) »
I am posting to see if anyone knows anything about the life of the REV F S Webster. Googling I am able to find snippets on his career but nothing on his family or where he was born. Any help appreciated.

Hi Ambly.

In replying to yourself , I have hardly glanced over what you have posted but I will scrutinise later tonight. The photo I posted was found in a photo album I came across recently and I am trying to determine whether the Rev is connected to Webster families I am researching in Ireland . I will get back to you later and many thanks for your help.

Hi Ambly.

Reading through what you have posted so far there is not much sign of an Irish connection so far.

My GGGGgrandafther was a Henry Isaac Webster. Born approx 1775 and died Wicklow, Ireland in the 1840's . Where he was born I cannot say , but the first documented evidence I have on him and his family is the baptisms of his childen at Wicklow Parish Church from 1805 onwards. His wife was Elizabeth and I would be open to correction on this but possibly an Elizabeth Mahon. Married possibly 1803..

The album I was lucky enough to come across dates back well into the 1800's with Webster,s and Webster related families. The question is what is the picture of the Rev Francis Webster doing in it ?

There is probably no doubt that if my GGGGgrandfather was not born England then his father or grandfather or whatever generation were more than likely to have been. How far back is one lucky enough to go to make a connection.

Hi Ambly.

With all the ground work you had done for me  I was able to search and found the Revd  Francis Scott Webster in several Family Trees , some dating back to the early 1700,s . If he is connected to my family of Websters , at the moment it is not there to be seen, certainly not to myself. It may have been as simple as just the same surname that had him in the album. Another mystery. This interest is full of them. If you come across anything that you think might be relevant , you might let me know and many thanks for the help.
