Hi,

If anyone could kindly find this record...sorry no spouse name
This notice appeared in the Gloucester Citizen, not sure if 5/5/1887
was newspaper date or actual marriage date.  I particularly want
father's name to confirm a relation.

No obvious Maria Johnston/Johnson in the 1881 census?
You might need Parish Registers or the Marriage Certificate.

Going forward to the 1901 it looks as if she married Frederick Gibbs, if its her she is down as Mary b 1867 Bristol.

On the 1881 I can see a Mary Johnson b 1865 Bristol.

John Johnson    49 h.m. General Labourer b Oxford ?
Sophia Johnson    50  wife b Bristol
Francis Johnson    13  son, b Bristol
Mary Johnson    16  dau General Servant b Bristol.

But as K. Garrad says you really need the marriage certifcate to be certain you have the correct one.
