can I help - 49 credits on 1837.com Expires 30th June

I have 49 (GBP £4.90) credit on 1837.com which will run out on 30th June.

The site lists all recorded Birth Deaths and Marriages for the UK and
I am not going to use the credit because my research appears to be slowly grinding to a halt as I don't have time to fully research all avenues.


Each page viewed costs 10p so thats 49 pages I can look at but in reality its probably about 5 names. .....so if you can help me use this credit and you can give full names and dates, then that will help in researching as many ancestors as possible.

I'll log in for the next couple of nights....till the credit expires and if anyone responds then I'll chec/use creditsfrom 1837 on a first come basis.

The Volume is 1a but i cannot read the page number on the microfiche at the library. It looks like '12a' - but 'a' is not a valid page number and there exists almost no 1888 births on freebmd.

so if you are able to tell me the page number (so i can order the certificate) i would consider you an angel

Thanks for the generous offer Skippy!  I've just exhausted yet another batch of credits in an attempt to find info on Winifred EVANS.  I need to find her  marriage to Clem GRIFFITHS, somewhere in Montgomeryshire probably (Newtown maybe?).  It allegedly took place in 1920, but I've checked 1920 and it's not there, so if you could check 1919 and/or 1921 it would be a GREAT help!!

(If you've run out of credits by now, don't worry - I'll buy some more when my plastic stops melting!)

Hi,

Ive never used 1837 service so I'm not sure what it gives you that others don't. I cant find the marriage of Elinor/Ellen/Eleanor O'Brien and Edward Costin allegedly in East Malling Kent (Malling reg district) 1 OCt 1851. Would this service find it?

I would say its definately 12a... I've attached copy of 1837 entry.
It could be a typing error.
