Here's the 1881 which took a while to findas FindMyPast and ancestry had him as Tarmie. He is born Worcester and his wife, who is Elizabeth on this census born Suffolk.  They make it difficult!

Here's William C in 1881 with his wife Eliza. Same street as he was living in with Mum and dad in 1871.

This is the only William wilson bricklayer I can find in 1891. Has his wife and child died, has he left them or is it not him at all?

I checked that there were no other William Wilson, bricklayer born Staffordshire in 1881 when we had your William with wife Eliza and there weren't so looks like this could be your man. Rugely is 19 miles from Sedgley.

No, this is the son William Charles born c1854. He is William and Jane,s oldest child.

I see I was confusing myself lol!, I have looked at records for the 1890' but can not find entry so far John or Jane Wilson.
