Seeking Robert WARE b c1806 to1810

Robert Ware.. can anyone tell me about my GtGtgrandfather born c1806 to 1810  sailed from East london in the "Dumfries" in 1839 as crew (steward ??). I have his details from the time he jumped ship at Adelaide, South Australia. Family talk had him from Cornwall originally but there is no verification. I have drawn a Blank. Hope someone can help :)Aussie-g

Marks - Scar over eye and under chin
First went to sea as a Boy in the year 1822
Served in the Royal Navy 16 years
Not been in Foreign Service
When unemployed resides at South Australia
