When I read other new messages they are flagged "new" in blue but mine aren't. Is this because I have posted them and they are flagged new on other peoples screens or am I doing something wrong?

You are not doing anything wrong and have indeed also answered your own question.

Whenever we create a new topic it is flagged as new for everyone but the person who created it ..... that person in creating it "sees" it so therefore the computer says it isn't new to them .

Clear as mud  ;D

Hi Jane,

No problems, You are not doing anything wrong !

I think "new" means "unread" but (hopefully -  ;D ) you have read what you wrote, so it is not new to you !

Hope this makes you feel better !
Bob

It's a new to you thing.  Not new to the board.

The website knows if you have read a message by (I guess) looking in your cache.  If you wrote it then you naturally read it so it knows it isn't  new.

If someone replies then that is new and you will see the blue new which goes once you've read the reply.
