Helen Ballantyne nee Turnbull

I feel like throwing my computer out of the WINDOW!!!!!!

I am attempting to find the death of HB nee Turnbull born 1804 (age 47 on 1851 census)   I have the death of her husband Walter B in 1881.   1861 census she is still with him but 1871 shows him with 3rd wife.   

Just so frustrating trying to find death details of Helen!!!!!

If its Hawick there is a Helen Turnbull who died in 1865 on Scotlandspeople.  No maiden name or age mentioned but she would def be worth looking at.

I think the entry that Barbara mentions shows in Castleton, Rox.

There is a period in the 1860s where the age was left off the index (although the actual cert shows full details). For these types of entries, ff you search with an age/birth year, it gives you nil result (this is why the SP death search screen includes the box with Include Unrecorded Ages in Age Range

which 1851 did you find in - it should tell her place of birth.

location could help, but if her family was non-conformist may not be in the OPR, but if she died after 1855 her death should be registered somewhere, also try the surrounding counties

No Monica, it was Hawick
as below.  Perhaps you are putting in the birth date and as Monica says it won't come up then.

I do not think this my Helen.   This HB is shown as aged 78 my Helen was born around 1805, age is shown as 47 on 1851 census
