Clergymens' Benefices held at NLW
« on: Friday 01 June 12 10:45 BST (UK) »

The Nat Lib Wales holds benefices granted to clergymen in the 18-19th centuries. For example, the following whom I believe is one of my 6x gr-grandfathers who was vicar/rector at the two parishes until his death in 1736:

    Powell, Howell.
    1713.
    Benefice: Llantilio Crossenny w. Penrhos.
    Enclosures: P, B.

    Powell, Howell.
    1715.
    Benefice: Llangattock-iuxta-Usk.
    Enclosures: P, B.

Has anyone ever seen a copy of such benefices, or a transcript of one?  I expect that it would follow a standard wording and language (ecclesiastical Latin?). I'm curious to know what details it might hold — like his signature or that of a bondsman perhaps, before I attempt to order one or both.

In hope
