I have just received a bundle of documents from Cornwall R O regarding the Sampson family of Gwennap. Looking at them in detail and comparing the information contained, it emerges that Mark Sampson, baptised 25 April 1665, Gwennap, spent "some years" in prison from about 1693. There is no clue as to where, or for what reason, he was detained.
Does anyone have any suggestions how I might find out more about this period of his life?
