Hi,
There is a census for William 1851 that shows his fathers birth date and place and Wm's mother being Jane.

Found marriage index [hate the index docs] that has John Martyn marrying in 1837.

Subsequent census shows John as a widower living with Wm and his wife.

OOps have discovered the John Martyn married to Jane, born in St Mabyn is not the right John as a 1851 census shows children Thomas b 1815, Susanna b 1831William b 1835 and so on.

Will scrub my Jane and review whether the John Martyn b: St Mabyn is indeed the right one.

Got your mails Fizzy

It's been a great day so far,
- got father's day cards from my [adult] kids.
- from a local flea market [called a brocante] bought a tool that I have been searching for for ages for a song.
- bought a very stylish antique chair for refurbishing also for a song
- and some beer glasses so we now have enough to go round when friends arrive.

To top it all off, your e-mails. (Big hugs and thanks to you)

I will dig out my note book and see if I can get myself sorted out. Will revert re my progress.

Hope your day will be as good as mine

Regards
BIF
