I'm pretty sure that the David Mackie who died in 1793 is my ancestor. If his wife is a Christian Henderson then I think she is a third wife. I have his first wife as Marion Dewar (dying between 1762-6) and a second wife, Janet Inglis who must have died after 1775. Then looks like a third, Christian Henderson.

Can you confirm?
Thank you so much for your invaluable help.
Is there a burial for Alexander Dewar prior to 1771?

Sadly Christian Henderson married a different David Mackie because they were married in 1753. That's the DM who was a merchant and left a will - so I'd love to claim him! I'm sure it will help someone else though
