Jim,   a long shot but if you have the time try working through the National Archives for "Main".

As per the original question about Balochnie, I just saw this map that has a "Balochney" in the New Monkland area, seems like it might be the same place as it's adjacent to at least two "Drumgray" locations (which is what I was searching as well when I came upon this).
