David Morgan's father was John Morgan who married Margaret Llewellyn.
I have got loads more info on the Morgan family but have come to a dead end before John Morgan.

The first MORGAN I can trace back to is JOHN MORGAN who was born in Merthyr in about 1786. He was my great great great grandfather. He married MARGARET LLEWELLYN. Margaret was born in Merthyr on the 28th June 1784 according to the LDS web-site. They married roughly about 1808.
Incidentally - Margaret (Llewellyn) Morgan was gored by a bull at the age of 100 when she went out to milk the cow in Merthyr !!!!!
