Well-sorted out Christine.  But I wonder which authority manages Bellingham Cemetery.
It is not listed amongst those managed by the county council teams.

I don’t know who runs it but it seems to be organised differently from all the other civil cemeteries I’ve come across.

The grave register is in three sections:  C of E, Roman Catholic and Non-conformist - each with it’s allocated numbers.  These categories are also given on the burial records rather than the standard ‘consecrated’ for C of E and ‘unconsecrated’ for all the rest.  This latter can cause great concern to the uninitiated so I liked the fact that they didn’t do that.

Anyway, it was a joy to have all the connected records on one microfilm.

Hello Christine and Michael

Firstly, I would like to thank you both very much for all your time spent on research for me and also the amount of information you have both gathered together.

So this explains why I could not find Elizabeth in Cramlington or Blyth cemeteries.  As for being buried in Bellingham well the only people that I can find so far is relatives living in Falstone and Plashetts. But looking at the 1911 census Hannah had five children but lost two,

so I am wondering if Elizabeth decided to be buried near them????

Thank you both again for all the information given, very much appreciated

Best wishes

Oletta

Remembering that her husband's ashes were buried in Bellingham 10 years before she died, I'd say she wanted to be with him.

Perhaps the question is more 'why did he want to be there'.
