I have photographed St Nicholas church and cemetery which is in the City Centre
last year and most of the headstones are very illegible.

The church was decommissioned and is now operating as an office.

A lot of the headstones have been placed against the high wall at the back.

No legible Matthews, Dorans or Lanes on the legible ones.

Are you sure Dorans and Lanes are Church of Ireland?  They seem like Catholic names
to me.

Church of Ireland - definate marriage for George and Eliza at St Nicholas and John their son has got St Nicholas also on his 1911 english census.  Wondering why I cant find any baptisms for John or siblings tho?

Thank you for your input x

...

as mentioned in reply#2 I dont believe any parish records for St. Nicholas CofI are included on either of the major websites at the moment.

Full civil registration stated in 1864, but non-Catholic marriages were registered from 1845, which is why the marriage is listed on FamilySearch.

I would suggest starting your search with certs for the two marriages mentioned in earlier replies, as these will give you clues that should help check earlier details - e.g. residences for the couple, father's occupation etc...
