Date of Death Phillips

I am trying to find the exact date of death of Edward Martin Phillips, he died in 1978  in Mosterton Dorset, but I don't know what date.

Any help would be appreciated.

You could try finding the local newspapers to see if there is a funeral report or memorium

Do you know where he is buried ? There may be a headstone???

Thanks, but I don't think I can get a certificate without knowing the actual date he died, his ashes were scattered so no gravestone
