It time someone noted, thanked CaroleW and more aknowledged the immense help she gives people & members of Rootchat everyday & over years regardless! in their research. There are too many to mention! who have had the most harden Berlin brick walls smashed down by Carole.

So one big thanks from Rootschat members  :D

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Thank you, Carole it's very much appreciated. You've made my mum one happy lady and she's still trying to get her head round  how you found all the info out on the Internet. Her exact words "what all that was found on the Internet, do you know someone in. MI5?" x

If the assumptions that Henry Howard is the father - it seems they were in Holme woods in 1911.

I have  link to an ancestry tree here -let me know if you need access

http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/tree/31847296/person/19891531597

Goes back to Joshua 1816 whos marriage cert says his father was John Howard - trouble is theres 2 or 3 of those of that vintage !! cant find a birth record to confirm the mother

Probably all related though

its all much easier now west riding PRs are in Ancestry

I don’t know if you are still looking. This came up because I was idly googling a chap I used to play rugby with. He is called James (Jim) Howard and is a farmer in Holmfirth. He is about 40. Owns a farm called Lane Farm Holme.
I think his dad is called James as well and would be about 70.
Hope that helps.
