Henderson birth decipher *completed*

G'day all ... below is an image of the birth details of Agnes Henderson, my Gx5 Grandmother ... about all I can decipher is her birth date, of 6th Nov 1737, in the right hand column ... so any help in understanding its content would be very much appreciated ... Note the original is much larger, I have reduced it by about 50%

If you could post the bigger version it might help...I can read a little bit of this one though, so I'll have a go.  I think it's saying that Agnes was one of twins.

What parish was this in?  Might help to work out what the place names are...

Just a guess, but it's possible that the girls were premature or sickly, which is why they were baptised so soon after birth - my Scottish families normally waited 2-4 weeks before baptism was carried out.

it is in Moray area (at least I think so ... am in Australia, so Scotland is a tad confusing) ... hmmm, possibly prem, will be interesting to find if Agnes's sister survived

Hi, there is an area called Achanacy (or Achanacie) in the parish of Keith which is in Banffshire.

I'm in Australia too, n4mv3t - the baptism register is from a parish, which is within a county or shire, which is in Scotland.  Familysearch shows that there was an Agnes Henderson baptised in Keith parish, Banffshire, on this date.  Banff is next door to Moray.  The Genuki Scotland pages are a good place to start to get the hang of this stuff: http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/sct/index.html
