Do you know the actual address they lived at in Wokingham as electoral rolls are only searchable by address?

If you don't have an address then it would be a mammoth task

Are you a member of Ancestry as they have searchable telephone directories?.

My grandmother lived in Wokingham and as she ran a poultry business she had a telephone quite early on, long before the rest of the family could afford one.

Wokingham is not a large town but without an address for guidance, like CaroleW said it would be a huge task.

If you can find them in the telephone directories, even if its long after 1934, it would give you some idea in which part they lived.

Thanks for the replies,

I have no idea of address only from birth of my uncle as Wokingham, I have Ancestry membership so will have a look if I can find anything there via directories, thanks for that tip, It could of course be a possibility they were only visiting the area and my Grandmother gave birth there!

You could also try local street directories - Kelly's were producing them for Wokingham and Bracknell in the 1930s.  They are easier/quicker to scan through that the electoral registers, and are a little more widely available.

Have you got the birth certificate?  Could well have the address.
