I have just read a fascinating book all about perthshires past one of the stories includes the details of a double murder and suicide at 3 Ruthven Avenue in 1942

Mrs Elizabeth Ryan (41), previously MacNamara, nee Kelly, daughter Annie MacNamara aka Nancy Ryan (20) both from Ireland & the Gunman was Duncan Doig (40) a native of Crieff, Perthshire.

All info. available at scotlandspeople & there's a photo of the lovely daughter Annie/Nancy on FindMyPast.
