Twose family from wellington
« on: Tuesday 03 July 12 16:28 BST (UK) »
Hi,
my gt gt grandfather was Edwin Twose born about 1859 in Wellington somerset, I would like to find out as much as I can about Edwin and my other ancestors from the Twose family from Wellington.
Edwin moved to South Wales and married Elizabeth, (think her surname was Penny), Elizabeth was born 1861 in Langport, Somerset.
If anyone can help with any info, that would be great,
thank you  :)

Hi Carole,
thank you very much for taking the time to help me.
The census details look really interesting, and you were right with the marriage details as one of the couples mentioned were my gt Granparents.

Thats a bit of a shock, so sad. Glad he came through it to a better life though. Wonder how they died.
Thanks again.

Hi
I'm not sure if you are still looking for the family of Edwin Twose but I have been researching my mother in laws family and I think Edwin was her grandfather. We live in South Wales and her maiden name was Twose. Her father was Thomas Twose who I think was Edwin's son.
I wam going to have a conversation with her shortly about her family and will keep you updated.

Which of Edwin's children are you related to?

Heather

Hi Heather,

thanks for your message, good to hear from you, my Gt Grandmother was Beatrice May Twose, (Edwins Daughter), Beatrice married Augustine Finn and their Daughter was Elizabeth Ann Finn, my Grandmother. It would be great if you could keep me updated with any info you find out, what is your Mother in laws name?

I notice on the 1911 census that Edwins son, Thomas George Twose born 1903 Cwmaman, was my Gt Grandmother Beatrices Brother.

Hope to hear from you soon

Karl
