there is this baptism on familysearch
Benjamin Barm
baptised 20 Jun 1819
Brentwood Essex
parents Benjamin & Mary

could be a mistranscription of barnes - and it is only the baptism date - not all were baptised as babies
Brentwood & Chipping Ongar are very close

The actual surname in the PRs is Bacon not Barm, additionally there is a later note made saying that the child was actually baptised William and not Benjamin. ::)

Well done finding that

Maybe Benjamin Barnes has been badly mistranscribed too???

I did have a quick look in Chipping Ongar and there are a couple of Barnes families in there but no son or father called Benjamin. ::)
