Thankyou have son Joseph H Holme married at 64 Church Lane on 1901 census.  :)

There are no other Leah Holme births 1845 to 1851 any county so looks like the one with grandparents could be yours. But that means Joseph and Ellen had Henry and William before their marriage and before Leah (unless the two boys belong to another son or dau (if a dau then it makes  them illegitimate)

William & Henry not wth them on1861 census but then again would have been 19, 17 so maybe away working. Will have to try find them on 1861 census they may be Joseph's older brother James children. :)

It suddenly struck me in the middle of the night, could Henry and William be Joseph's children from a first marriage?

Had a look but can't find any Joseph Holme/Holmes married between 1837/43 in Westmorland, so would be hard to prove if married before.  ???

There is a White Lund on the Lancaster side of Morecambe if that is of any help
