Re: Birth/baptism date of James Barclay c1837

I am trying to locate the birth and/or baptism James Barclay, son of John Barclay and his wife Ann.  According to the 1851 & 1861 he was born in either 1835 or 1837 in Carlisle, Cumberland, and worked as a biscuit packer and commercial clerk - biscuit.

He married Mary Jane Armistead in 1863, and according to a later census they had three children:
Joseph born 1864 died 1866 ?
James born 1866 died 1885 &
William Henry born 1868 died 1892

James died within 5 years of his marriage in 1868 and was buried on 8th March 1868 in Penrith.

His widow Mary Jane Barclay, never remarried and variously lived in Settle and then Penrith dying in September 1925.

marriage of john barclay  of this parish and ann baty of this parish were married in this church by banns 15th day of may  1830

in the presence of james bartley.

also  i found these.    ann barclay, newtown august 24th age 27 yrs burrial .

and james barclay, newtown december 19th age 64 yrs  1841 burrial.

these are at st mary,s carlisle. sorry i forgot to put the year down on  ann barclay burrial.

im almost certain that james barclay marriage is proble in perth, scotland

Thanks once again for the extra information - it has been a great help.  I thought James Barclay might have been married In Cumberland - as he married Grace Robinson born and baptised in Patterdale in 1779.  However I have not been able to find their marriage date.
