Help in finding more info on emmigration to Canada
« on: Sunday 08 July 12 17:55 BST (UK) »
Can someone help me find more details about the Bain family emmigration to Canada and their return?

On FamilySearch I have found a record of Henry Bain, event Census, date 1891, age 5, birthplace Fife.  He I believe is the father of Andrew Cairns Bain, born 14/6/1908.

Also on FamilySearch there is records of both Andrew and his brother Harry arriving in Winnipeg, Manitoba September 1914.

nara publication title:  Manifest of Passengers arriving in the St. Albans, VT, District through Canadian Paific and Atlantic Ports, 1895-1954

nara publication number: M1464

nara roll number: 268

I think the family returned to Scotland in the early 1920s.

Thanks

Sandra

PS I looked up St Albans on internet but it left me confused :'(
