Hello Sandra,

Thanks for all the information.  It confirms the little information that I have and also adds a lot more.  I have heard Allegheny and I think Henry and his family may have gone there too.

Hi Again,

In your first reply it says they were debarred.  I take it that means they weren't allowed entry.  If this is the case what would happen to them?  Could this be why there is another entry for September 1914?

Cheers

Sandra

Only came across the border crossing entry for September 1914, they were in Hamilton. Ontario in 1912 - so unless they returned to the UK and then back to Canada there wouldn't be another passenger list. The permanent address on the border crossing (1914) was Hamilton. Ontario

Thanks Sandra

I will now need to sift through all this information and put it into order.   A lot of this is new to the family and is proving to be very helpful.

Can you find out when Henry, Isabel and family returned to Scotland.  Believed to be early 1920s.

Hi,

Please can you tell me where to go to get the information and I will try to find it.  I'm afraid I am not good at following some of the sites.

Thanks

Sandra

Afraid I did not find the couple on any UK return passenger list.
Mostly the passenger lists from Canada to the UK would be on subscription or pay per view sites.

Thanks Sandra,

I didn't want you to think that I was unwilling to have a go myself if I new where and how to look.

I find that RootsChatters are very helpful and generous with their time and sharing of information.  I hope that I will be able to help someone at some time.

Kind regards

Sandra
