Hi Karen,

I am sure you know about www.familysearch.org which is free and has some of the same stuff Ancestry.com has.  I found two of John Heffernan and Mary's children marriages.  I work at a family history library and since you are connected to my family I would love to help, if you want me to do any research.  Anne

Hi again,

Yes, I'm familiar with the family search site.  Jno Heffernan is my gr gr grandfather.  Mary Griffin is his first wife who died shortly after childbirth and then their daughter Laura died at 3 years of age.

I do have quite a bit of research completed on the Heffernan family, but thank you for your offer of help.  There was a Heffernan family get together a few weeks ago to honour Austin Heffernan who was killed in the 2nd World War.

I lived in the same house as my gr gr grandparents, Jno Heffernan and Francisca Huck (2nd wife), who purchased it in the 1890's in Guelph.  My sister still lives in the house beside it.
