1901 age 62 born 1839 NK Cumberland
1911 Joseph 72/1839 Bowness

Could this be his baptism?
Joseph Reay 
Baptism 3 Feb 1839 
at Bowness on Solway Cumberland 
Father George Reay 
Mother Margaret

If it is then he was with his mother in 1871. Margaret and Robert are names Mary Thompson gave to her chldren

Thank you for all your work, what a complicated family they are, and sad aswell with Mary being in a workhouse for two census's.
I think Joseph's parents are George Reay and Margaret Snowden.
