Joseph Moffat/Tinsmith/Newton Stewart
« on: Sunday 15 July 12 10:48 BST (UK) »

I am looking for any information on Joseph MOFFAT who was a plumber/tinsmith (employing 4 men) in Newton Stewart. His wife,Catherine Johnstone was a China Merchant in 1881.

Their residence in 1881, was 53 Victoria Street, Newton Stewart.

Does anyone have any old photographs. Any information would be very much appreciated.

Hi Monica,

Thank you much for all the addresses :D  There are certainly lots for me to go through.

Shame there aren't any oldie photographs, though :'(. I think 53 Victoria Street, Newton Stewart is now the Hardware store.

Hi,

Thank you so much for the 1950's photograph of Victoria Street. It gives me the 'oldie wordly' feel of the Street, which I wanted :)
