Hello, I am looking for information on Thomas towey b. 1846 in Ardkill ballaghaderreen d. 1922 buried in kilmovee married ellen towey b. 1848 in derrinabrook d. 1926. had 7 children, Patrick, catherine, edward, mary,martin, thomas, ellen. Patrick was my grandfather d. 1944

any help would be grately appreciated.

Your people are Tuohy later Towey . Residents of Ardkill like a lot of townlands around Ballagh merely attached Ballaghderreen to the townland address for postal reasons,given that Ballagh was the town of any size in the area.
In reality for BDM they were more likely to use Kilmovee in Mayo and I would continue your search along these lines. Ardkill today is more commonly referred to as Ardcull.

It would be better to wait for a reply from them rather than continuing your enquiry here.
As I have said Ballaghaderreen is a white elephant your people would have been attatched to Kilmovee church.
